DESCRIPTION
Castrol Cresta SC 46 is an oil based cleaning concentrate specifically designed for use in heat transfer systems where a mineral oil base steam cylinder fluid is already in use.
APPLICATIONS
Castrol Cresta SC 46 is used prior to the replacement of mineral oil based heat transfer fluids. It is used to replace 20% of the original oil charge to give a total base number of 8 and this blend can safely be recommended for continuous use at 300°C for up to 6 months or for limited periods up to 320°C in closed systems. Castrol Cresta SC 46 effectively removes oxidation sludge varnish and loosely bound carbonaceous material.
